Ford Focus: Out on a shoot

2010 Ford Focus image The Ford Focus accompanied me on a trip all across Cincinnati the other day. Samantha and I had a wedding to film and I had to drive from Hyde Park to the Bride’s house on the West Side, then Covington, Kentucky, back to the West Side and home.

I’m not a big fan of going through downtown Cinci, or over the bridge to Covington, even though my job takes me on those roads again and again. Usually, in the Jeep, I’m slugging along the highway, trying to barrel my way into exit lanes, weaving through a haystack of much smaller, harder to see cars. It’s a little stressful sometimes, especially when you’re racing a crowd of hungry church-goers-turned-cocktail-connoisseurs to the reception hall to get some shots of the empty room.

  • The Focus is a very complete package. The vehicle offers some of the most advanced in “hands-free” technology with its SYNC system, class leading cargo space (trunk), and as you mentioned, the car is actually a joy to drive. You get the luxury of being able to weave in and out of traffic, while still having the feeling of security found in much larger vehicles. When driving the Focus, I noticed it wasn’t underpowered at all. That four-cylinder engine really is “zippy”.

All while getting up to 39 MPG on the highway…not bad.
