While many of us (mainly soccer moms) are waiting with bated breath for the stylish five plus two people mover it’s been creating waves across the pond. The Ford C-MAX Titanium has been named as the UK’s best value Multi-Purpose Vehicle in the first annual awards presented by Parkers, a leading car-buying website.
In deciding its 2011 New Car Award winners, Parkers combined list price with running costs, including depreciation, showroom and road tax (we don’t have that here in the states), servicing and fuel consumption. The Ford C-Max will land in showroom floors later this year.
“When it comes to value, the C-MAX scores highly. The 1.6-liter diesel provides great performance and 61mpg combined fuel economy means trips to the fuel pump aren’t frequent.”
Kieren Puffet, Parkers editor, said: “The C-MAX 1.6 TDCi Titanium won because it is great to drive, comes with a quality interior and with plenty of space.”
Lebanon Ford had the unique opportunity to test drive this European C-MAX last fall at Ford’s Proving Grounds Racetrack. It was unanimously decided after all of us were able to take it for a spin it would be a real winner. While we’re not allowed to speak directly on how it drove, etc just yet. We can say the Ford Grand C-MAX has the perfect mix of style and utility. Below is a video of Mark and I speaking about the Ford C-MAX at this years Cincinnati Auto Expo.
