Top Ten Automotive Resources for Content

I spend a lot of time on the Internet. I spend a lot of time around cars. I also spend a lot of time looking at cars on the Internet. Whether it’s building and pricing the Ferrari that I’ll never own or reading about the newest cars to come out, I LOVE reading about cars online. Next to actually driving a car, and possibly drinking a Guinness, it’s my favorite thing to do.

If you are like me, you want to make sure that you get your information from the best places. When it comes to finding information online, the source can make all of the difference. Here are some of my favorite resources when it comes to car sites.

1. Autoblog

Autoblog has been my go-to blog for many years now. Their articles range from spy shots of the latest concepts to tips on saving gas. If something happens in the auto industry, they are one of the first to cover it. Their tag line is “We Obsessively Cover the Auto Industry”, and that they do.

2. Jalopnik

Jalopnik is a little different than most auto blogs. They cover the latest auto news, but add an edgy, funny twist to it. Definitely makes for an interesting read after a long day.

3. Edmunds

This is the place to go when you start researching about a new car purchase. From car reviews to car buying tips, this is the ultimate resource for finding information to help you purchase your next car.

4. The Truth About Cars

This blog offers a nice mix of car reviews and industry news. They also offer a lot of technical information about parts and service to vehicles.

5. Left Lane News

Left Lane News offers it’s readers a great deal of information about current cars in the North American market. They have tons of car reviews, pricing information, specs, and comparisons on many cars.

6. Inside Line

Inside Line is a part of the Edmunds family and has a lot of content centered around spy photos and future vehicles. If you want to see what the newest cars to come out are, check here first.

7. Car forums

Many people forget about this, but if you want to find more information about your car, try joining a forum of fellow owners. There are forums out there for virtually every car, so try searching for one and join, you’ll be amazed at the things you’ll learn.

8. You Drive What?

This website is more for just a little bit of entertainment rather than information. They gather photos of the wackiest, weirdest, and flat out absurd cars from around the country and post them up. Check it out if you want to feel better about the car you drive

9. The Garage Blog

The Garage Blog, like others, is a great resource for your general automotive news. Their content is catered to any and all auto enthusiasts. From general industry news to F1 events, they’ve got you covered.

10. For[d] Life

Shameless plug. Come on, you know you love us.

**For additional automotive resources I’d also recommended checking out Technorati.
