It Isn’t Easy Being 7’3”

While watching a Lady UC Bearcats basketball game the other night, I couldn’t help but notice the opposing team’s coach (University of Indianapolis). While the Lady Hounds ended up winning the game, it wasn’t the coach’s play calling, key timeout pep talks, or any other coaching facet, but rather it was his height that was so interesting. At 7’3” tall, coach Constantin Popa, has quite a presence towering over…well…everyone in the room. Before coaching, Popa put together quite an impressive college and professional career, holding records at the University of Miami (FL) and two Professional Basketball overseas.

While this blog could go on and on about coach Popa’s basketball playing and coaching career, this post is for a different purpose altogether. While watching coach Popa command the UIndy sideline, I had to ask myself (with all due respect), how does a man that large fit into average size car. It is a well-known fact that men of comparable height like Yao Ming and Shaq had custom cars built to accommodate their size. With that in mind, I thought I would take it upon myself to suggest a few affordable cars with adequate headroom for coach Popa or any other tall person to ride in style:

1.)  The Ford F-250 SuperDuty

2.)  The Ford Flex

3.)  The BMW 5 Series

4.)  The Nissan Titan

5.)  The Nissan Cube

What other cars would you suggest for an extra tall driver?
