2013 Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang
With the release of the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 consumers not only get one sexy sports car, but one that can now reach speeds of up to 200 mph. Yes you heard me right 200 mph!!! To put that number in perspective you need 25 times the power required to reach 200 mph than 60 mph, so it’s kind of a big deal. Along with its incredible top speed the Mustang also boasts a 3.7 second 0-60mph time, 11.7 second quarter mile with a top speed of 125 mph, and oh yea did I mention it has the most powerful series production V8 ever built! The 2013 Shelby GT500 single handedly catapults the Mustang to a class the competition said it could never reach. I’m talking about the class of Chevy Corvette ZR1’s and SRT Vipers, not only because it has more horsepower than both of them but because the Mustang costs significantly less; starting at $55,000 MSRP. In the eyes of the common man consumer that’s a win win.
2013 Ford Mustang V6 Premium
If you reading this and wondering, “hell I still can’t afford that” no worries the 2013 Ford Mustang V6 Premium is equipped with enough bells and whistle to keep you happy. The refreshed V6 isn’t the lightest Mustang out there at 3,511lb, but despite its corpulence it can still out accelerate, turn, and stop quicker than most of the competition. It has a 0-60 mph time of 5.3 seconds, quarter mile in 13.9 seconds with a top speed of 100.1 mph, lateral acceleration of 0.95 g, and a 60-0 in 110 ft. With its 3.7 liter, 24 valve V6, the mustang puts out a hefty 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft and yet it’s all packaged in a car that starts out around $27,000.

“There’s a few other cars out there that might have most of the features that this car has, but there at least $100,000 more, the hell with them. We have to take the people who go out and work for a living to be able to afford our cars and that’s what we’re doing.” – Carroll Shelby
